A Multi-functional display and Food servery
Multiuso started out as an idea for a jewellery display. A key feature of this design is that the display plates can rotate so the items could be arranged in different ways. Rethinking the purpose of this display it could be used for displaying jewelry or small plants. I could be used to serve food for different occasions like a charcuterie, cup cakes, high tea or a fruit stand. So 'Multiuso' was born, Italian for multi function, a multi functional display or food servery.
The client wanted the forms to be more cohesive and also wanted the cap on top to be wooden.
The redesigned model shows a unity and simplicity of form.

Multiuso is made with laminated Red Oak and manufactured with a CNC router. Copper pipe is used for the central post The timber is oiled with a lemon scented food grade oil. A key feature of the serving tree is that the three "plates" can be rotated into different configurations.
