The brief was to design something that could be manufactured using rotational moulding. I chose to design a Robot Playground. originally I was thinking Optimus Prime but found the design too complicated. I settled on a more traditional toy like robot design. It had to be climbed on, climbed in and swung on and could be one element of a space scene playground.
The Project was purely conceptual and to gain an understanding of how the design process works within the whole manufacturing chain. Actual construction wasn't the aim but it was considered throughout the design process and further iterations would focus on the construction.
